Hi, I'm waiting on results from my scan to see if I need a biopsy, which obviously sounds a bit scary as you automatically think "cancer" but is there anything else it could be? I've searched and searched but can't find anything helpful. I have polycystic ovary syndrome so I don't menstruate often and obviously that's not very good. I'd like to hear is anyone's had a similar experience with this or have any idea what that could be, thanks

I would definitely not class myself as an expert but I'm sure on my hypochondriac travels, I read somewhere that if you have PCOS (and if you've had surgery for it/lasering/drilling etc or if you're not ovulating often enough) you just get a gradual build up of womb lining? Hyperplasia or something? I think it needs to be treated but it is not cancer as far as I'm aware

Hey I've not been on this for a bit, thanks everyone for replying I got a letter in after a month and half that says the thickening has "presumably cleared up" which I'm not to happy about, because she's clearly not had all the notes if she's saying presumably and she commented on some cyst saying that's cleared when I never had any present cysts at that point, but oh well. I've been worried for ages to get an assumption aha she's said there will be no follow up so I guess I've got to just forget about it, still getting intermittent bleeding for a day here and there, sharp pains and not had a period since the beginning of August. xx
