Throat tightness

Tonight my stomach is bloated and I feel like I'm unable to take a deep breath and feels like air from my stomach is pushing into my throat, I have a fear of having asthma but last time I saw my doctor and described my symptoms and he assured me that my lungs are clear, is this just anxiety and bloating or something else?

Hi this is going to sound dumb, but you can google it,some people with anxiety dont realize it but they swallow air at times, causing the bloated, strange feelings. Just google it. It can be anxiety related.

It feels like someone putting there hands around my neck and it seems like no matter what I do I can't get the feeling to go away

Sounds like your breathing is too high up in your chest, which is a symptom of stress and anxiety, the same counts for bloating. Practising the 'pursed lips technique' has helped me tremendously to get rid of it.

Most of the time a feeling like that is caused by emotions which are stuck because they are not expressed but swallowed, almost literally. If I have that kind of feeling I gently lay my hand on my throat and concentrate on the feeling residing in my throat. It doesn't take long to get it, and I just try to act it out, which always results in great relief. I suggest you try it for yourself.

Thanks, I will certainly try that, I'm feeling better tonight than I was last night but not 100 percent yet
