Anybody have a tight inner thigh above the knee? I'm almost 4 weeks posterior RTHR, and this is my trouble spot. I can't flex my knee all the way back, and it's just right as can be.
YES! Four and a half weeks and my inner thigh is tight too. I have just started to be brave and stretch it. LTHR. Other than that doing really well. Just been for a mile and a half walk
Wow! Nice walk, I'm almost 4 weeks still have discomfort in my butt and behind knee, so much for thinking I would be pain free by now. I walk but with a limp and tire easily.
Speedy recovery to you
Six months on, I still get tightness in the upper thigh which gives me a slight limp.
It is easing slowly, but it probably reflects a less than active lifestyle before the operation. I did however lose 5 stone (70 pounds) pre-op, and enjoying a more active life now.
Thanks all, I'm walking everyday and yesterday I did 4,000 steps for the first time. Everything is progressing well, but it seems like a weird spot to be sore/right. What do they do to the groin muscle in surgery that takes so much time to heal?
Thanks Lorrena, I too have some pain in the butt! This is a bit like the OA pain I had before but not half so bad. I do have some OA pain in my other hip to compare it too. The whole hip joint and muscles are so confusing. I find it hard to describe or locate various areas of discomfort.
I can walk without a stick or a limp and am trying to increase my exercise. But it still doesn't feel like "normal". Maybe I have forgotten what normal feels like?!!!
speedy recovery to you too and all hippies. X
