Tin man!

A new symptom with me feeling like the tin man needing an oil first thing as i get out of bed

Oops didnt finish what i wanted to say before posting! Yes feeling stiff all over but as soon as i get going it gets better! Also lying on my right side in bed i get cramp in right leg, never the left one!

I get such a funny visual when I read that! lol But, I know what you mean!

I can totally relate to this. I am so stiff in the morning with aches and pains in shoulders, neck, knees, ankles, hips and back. It's crazy I'm only 49 but my gosh during perimenopause my body feels so much older. Your right, once I get moving it does get better. I also love sleep on my side but lately it bothers my hips and legs as well. It is so comforting reading everything that is posting on this site. If not for this amazing forum I would have thought I had a horrible disease months ago

Debbie

I'm like that too ! Stiff and creaky first thing hobbling around all bent over. Then when I get moving it does ease up loads.

What a perfect analagy. I feel 20 years older in the mornings. Will this ever end? X

Do you also sometimes get restless legs? I get it mostly at night but it can sometimes happen in the day. I get this weird tingly feeling in my thighs and behind the knee.

I think that's more related to age. If you are in your late 40's or early 50's like me. Yes, more creeking and stiffness hapoens I have been creeking for awhile. Haha...I asked my husband what all that is. He just says - old age. Made me feel so good about getting older. Notttt...

Yes of course i mean at 52 i suppose we are expected to feel stiff and achey but it does seem to have come on more since entering menopause a notibale stiffness to what i felt before! X

Lol the title came to me in the night while lying awake after waking up and thinking of all my symptoms! Lol, we have to laugh on this journey dont we x

Yes Debbie it really does help this forum, i get the achey shoulders to but that comes and goes and a clicky right elbow sometimes! Yes once i get going the all over stiffness eases x

Yes the movement eases once i get up and about, i cant say it is every morning but i have noticed it happening abit more recently!

I hope so! It is abit of a journey this menopause. .. X

Im not sure i get restless legs but i have had this almost restless arm feeling as if i want to itch it but its not itchy more a crawling feel under the skin it hard to describe but it almost feels a restless feel in them if that makes sense x

Agreed.

Tin man  lol  that's the best ever!

I have a magnesium oil spray beside the bed and a few squirts before sleep on the joints really helps.

Yes...once I start moving around more I do feel better.

I get tingles in my arms once in awhile but only when I'm sleeping.

Laughing is definitely important!  Couldn't get through this without it!  I know that "Tin Man" feeling, too.

Yes it does ease off but are you like me and ok through the day and then after dinner totally wiped out and nodding off in front of the telly all achy and stiff then off to bed and guess what can't sleep ! anxiety aaahhh x
