Too young for cprs

At 14yrs old  I'm really  upset that this is happening to means the teachers at my school just think I'm exagerating or want attention.  The pain is so bad but the Meds make me tired at school and I get yelled at for not paying attention. I don't even want to go sometimes

Get a Letter from your Doctor asking him/her to explain your condition and the pain you suffer.. If the pain is very bad you should ask for study at home if you feel like it this can be arranged via your GP & School. Ask your parents to speak with the head of the school.

I guess CPRS has not conditions when it comes to age...

Go to ur dr i had to stay on mine bc he always told me it was normal to have all the pain the cold changes and everything they left me like that for months bc they didnt believe i hunted for someone to talk to and i finally did so u need to stay on someone if u hurt that bad they will help u if u have all the signs u really need to see someone so it doesnt get worse like mine did

Hi, my 16 year old son is recently diagnosed and he also suffered at school as teachers didn't understand how he feels during flare up, or how tired he is.  I went into school armed with info leaflets and web page reference.  His Dr also wrote a comprehensive report and his physio TOLD school their expectations to support him. Get your specialists to help you. I wish you luck x

hello Olivia

I feel for you, my son is only 12 and has not quite made it back to school having to home tutored a his school is not wheel chair friendly - i have made sure that all of my sons pain team and physios and his consultants have spoken to the school and that they have all the information.

This illness is so tough on anyone but i think especai for you teeneagers,  Ask your school for you to be send my the educational pyhscolgist - as they can ensire that the school meets your needs, and when it comes to exams that things like extra time are in place

hope this helps
