Tramadol-v-Bleeding

Does anyone know if Tramadol can cause blood in wee? I only take Tramadol occasionally but started seeing blood in my wee. I have not had a tablet for 3 weeks and no more bleeding but today I took one and saw some blood when I weed - is it a coincidence I wonder?

Never had that expierienced while taking tramadol. Any time blood in in urine it time to see a doctor. Could be a kidney or urinary track infection. Only antibiotics will help in a few days.

Hi Hope, yes I have seen a Specialist and had a CT Scan and having cystoscopy next month so waiting for results. I had bladder cancer 7 years ago and cured so of course alarm bells rang when I saw blood. However it seems odd that once I stopped Tramadol the bleeding stopped BUT when I took one on Friday - blood again?? Just wondered if anyone had had this experience?

Hi Jean

I haven’t as a man had issues with tramodol in urine, but I did read an article recently how it can effect woman and there periods, it can make them become a little sporadic. I can’t find the link but thought I would mention it.

Hi Buggsy, thanks for the info. I well beyond the period stage ha ha!! But I will suss out more info as I am hoping this is the problem and not the return of the cancer. I go this Thursday for the results of the CT scan on my kidneys so we will see??

Keep well

Hi Jean

I didn’t want to make assumptions. 😬

I am sure this could be a little urine infection or possible a small stone.

I will keep everything crossed for you.

Buggsy ☺️

Thanks Buggsy.

Visit your doc as you may need tests

Hi, yes seen my GP and was referred to the Urologist - had a CT Scan and getting results Thursday and then having a cystoscopy September. It was just a coincidence that when I stopped taking Tramadol I stopped bleeding but once I went back to them - bleeding again. Stopped taking them - no bleeding?? If the Urologist doesn't come up with anything on Thursday I'll mention Tramadol to him??

Jean

That's good. I went through the same so I know. They found another condition for me but once again not too serious. Best to be open about everything as you never know you might say something insecure but to the doc it may be important

Thanks for reassuring words.

Jean
