Well, I am going to a Neuro surgeon
My pain is somewhat regular. Had Botox shots worked well for 4.5 years. Now I am having severe pain when it comes. It is a killer
My nerve pain are is due to a major hit in the face. Like a boxer hit. Pain area
Facial rt and ear like a knife then thru eye like a knife and the top of the forehead.
Does anyone have a hit that caused there pain? I take oxcarben ( misspelled) it helps but not right now
This has put me in terrible depression.
Again anyone have a hit that caused their pain?

No estoy segura de qué es oxcarben, ¿es también un opioide? También estoy deprimida. Durante 9 meses incluso quise matarme. Pero ahora tomo antidepresivos que también ayudan con el dolor. Tomo 25 mg de amitriptilina y 50 mg de nortriptilina. Ambos se usan para el dolor del nervio trigémino, además ayudan con la depresión, lo cual es un beneficio adicional. Creo que deberías preguntarle a tu médico sobre esto. También veo a un psicólogo, que intenta ayudarme a aceptar esta condición.
He estado pensando en la toxina botulínica (Botox). ¿Podrías por favor escribirme dónde tienes el dolor y cuánto tiempo te duró la toxina botulínica antes de necesitar repetirla? Y también cómo hacen estas inyecciones? Estoy planeando probarlo, pero me gustaría obtener más información al respecto de alguien que lo haya probado.

and so on and so forth ... very effective treatment for the facial pain (for me it was a life saver)
Chase it up and read ALL about it and if you think it will help then take it up with your GP or Specialist (whomever you can get to first)
Self Diagnosis is a VERY innacurate and Self Medication is far worse!

Estoy interesado en el tema del Botox, lo iba a tener el mes pasado porque el médico lo sugirió para las migrañas del nervio trigémino, no son los malditos dolores de cabeza los que me molestan así que cancelé la cita, solo me preocupaba que lo inyectaran en el nervio y le hicieran más daño.

the neurologist appointment is not until the end of September so interested as to what they will say and advise for her as she is also in her final year at Uni studying to be. A nurse so this could not have come at a worse time, not that there is ever a good time for this awful condition to raise its ugly head.
she has had good days but she has also had some very bad days but she does agree with you crying makes it worse and she can get very down, we are very concerned about the amount of medication she is currently taking and the effects that has on her.
The Botox sounds interesting but she hates needles so not sure she would go for it, however she has found that Reiki has helped.
