Turmeric paste

Hi I've recently found out about something called turmeric paste from someone who also suffers from skin conditions, I haven't tried it yet but thought I would mention it as I am going to try it next week, I will keep you posted if anyone wants to know if it works. It is meant to help inflammatory skin conditions and also has other benefits, I'm not sure I can put a link on here so I'll just tell you the recipe, it's 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of turmeric powder, 1/3 cup of coconut oil and 1 1/2 teaspoons of black pepper, it is all mixed while on a gentle heat on the hob, until it becomes a thick paste, and can be kept in the fridge for two weeks. It can be added to meals or drinks and supposedly it doesn't taste of much so it isn't too noticeable. I think you're meant to have 1/4 teaspoon twice a day. I'm keen to try it as I know coconut oil is beneficial, so there's no harm in trying something completely natural. I just thought I'd share this in case it might help this condition

Jessicat, I think your recipe is a good idea, because much of last year I had problems with my tailbone, I found it difficult to sit down comfortably, despite x rays, nothing conclusive was discovered.

A couple of months ago I started juicing vegetables, which included raw whole turmeric root (which I obtained from my local organic shop) I drank this every day, and now incredibly my tailbone pain has disappeared, I can hardly believe it. It is well documented that it can help with inflammation, and for some people it also helps with depression, so yes it is definitely worth trying.

That's really good news, I'm looking forward to trying it now. Did you notice any improvement with LS symptoms?

My LS is mainly under control, no visible signs or itching, and so it is hard to say whether it had any impact or not, but I am sure it will have done to some degree.   For people that don't have the time to prepare your recipe you can buy curcumin capsules online, although fresh/raw is always best.
