twiching with fibro

As i said before i was diadnose with fibro in january of this year and a couple of weeks ago i started with a twitch in my left eye its not like any ordnary twitch my children  & husdand have noticed it  actually looks  like i am winking at them i have no control over it. I am really getting stressed with it happening when i am out as people may get anoyed thinking i am winking at them dont know what to to do van anybody help with this. And dose anyone else have this problem with there fibro  HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have had a twitch in one of my eyes over the years but not in recent years...

Could it be a side effect from a med you are taking....

Ignore it and see if it goes away. Wish a twitch was my only problem...

I deal with very annoying nerve damage tingling and numbness from a hip replacement and do what I can to keep it calmed down and learning to live with it......

Its not just the twitching. I am in constant pain from head to toe and shoulder arms and hands. I am always awake between 6.30- 7 in more pain but if i try and go back to sleep i end up knowing about it i can hardly move an inch.

Well make sure when u go out when the twitching begins u r facing an attractive man! :-)  just kidding.  It must b annoying.  I dont have a twitch but I have real painful spasms that starts In my upper back and moves through my neck jaw and head on my right side.  I went to my heart dr and they took tests.  I showed blockage so the scheduled me for an arterialgram.  Thank God it was a false positive!  So my dr said it was probably the fibromyalgia!  I hope u find a resolution for ur twitching.  Have u tried Lyrica?  My mother was taming that for her twitch in her face

Were would i get lyrica  from hun i am willing to  give anything a go

if you you dont have a over sensistive stomach take a plant based magneisuim supplement , iv rec this to another lady and her twitching legs stopped in 3 days.

if you have a sensistive stomach apply magneisum oil to the area with your finger tip but dont get it in the eye because it will sting like mad , this is what i do when my right eye starts twitching it stops within a few days . it stings a bit when applied t o the skin but thats normal due to high salt content. the mag oil is very good for any limb that twitches including jumping legs.

I have been on my ebay and found a lot of things that are suppose to help with achs and pains with fibro  i looked on effexor  and looked at descripshion on one of them and there was a list of different medical probblems and fibro was one i klicked on it and it bought a lot of suplements that are suppose to help with bifferent fibro probblems

I am also taking lyrica and I get it from my gp.  It also helps for the fibromyalgia.  I have been taking them for 3 years.

iv got what helps for me . dont intend to be full of pain drugs for the rest of my life doing god knows what sort of other damage. stick to my alternatives . but we are not all the same .so each to there own.it might be the answer for some

sorry shirley i seemed to have read your reply wrong .i thought you were talking about pharm drugs . apologieses . tian

I have twitching in my left eye and also of both hands and fingers. The worst thing that you can do is to let the twitching stress you out. Stress is bad when you have fibro. What I do when I am out and the eye twitching starts when I am talking to someone is I put my fingers just over the corner of my eye and then I say "Wow this is really acting up today". What I have found is that people will stop staring at you when the problem is out in the open. Since I have been on Lyrica I have not had the eye twitching (unfortunately it has not stopped the hand and finger twitching). Hope this helps and stay strong smile

Hi Shirley. I too am on lyrica and it has really helped with the pain (except in the mornings when I still dread getting out of bed for the terrible pain everywhere. But this goes about an hour or so after taking my first 300mg lyrica) The only trouble is I have developed a twitch or muscle spasm in my hands and now my legs. It just happens without warning and my arm flies out or my legs go from me. I find it very upsetting as it feels kind of dreamlike. It seems to happen in slow motion and its the weirdest feeling. This last few weeks I have experienced it in my jaw and I cant get my words out for a few seconds and I sound like I have stutter. My GP said its all part and parcel. Is it the fibro or the Lyrica. Does aanyone else get this?  this////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////?

Hi I get muscle twitches in my thighs,  eyes and cheeks mainly, although who knows what my next Fibro trick will be, it likes to keep me on my toes. My scalp decided my hair was too heavy today in plaits and it was painful. didn't know hair could hurt. After 20 years of fibro i thought I had everything, but it seems my constant companion had another trick up it's sneaky sleeve. I digress, sorry. I tend to get muscle twitches when I have tried to do to much and I am over stressed. Sometimes holding something warm against the twitching muscle or something I learnt at yoga, rub your hands together, make your hand in to a cup shape and rest it over the eyes can help. It can get very annoying and look quite bizarre when one cheek is jumping around, so I understand why you feel stressed, just try and relax and that will help. Otherwise what about a t-shirt with the logo- don't flatter yourself my eyes winking because of fibro, not because you look adorable.

Well, I hope you are all on ENOUGH magnesium...this is one mineral at the FM board in the U.S. we talk about big time.

Drugs can cause many side effects, I work with 98% supplements....
