Hi. I am suffering from type 1 diabetes, please guide me how to control it.

I had tests about a week or two for Type 2 Diabetes and will be getting my results, back end, next week. I understand I am borderline at this time, it needs to be confirmed, then I will have to join a group at my GP Surgery. They will introduce me to a new diet and keep an eye on my weight etc. i understand that the need for injections etc will not be needed at this time.
With my problem I am sixty seven years old, also overweight. The problem I have is I need to take pain medications and a tranche of other drugs that do affect my weight
If you wish, I will be learning how to life with this health problem, we could give each other some form of support.
Do you need the injection, also how are you getting on with the diet ?
