My sugar is high in a morning. Is there any advice.
I’d appreciate your feed back.
It is an indication of diabetes that needs treatment. Metformin is a common first drug that is tried.
how do you know? did you test it? if so then you know you have diabetes and how important it is to lower sugar levels. there are meds to inject to help lower the levels . diet is important … plz check with you doctor for various other meds for your needs.
Metformin has very bad side effects like acid reflux, just be careful if you are using it to not eat anything after 8pm. I’ve had to come off it for this very reason.
If it’s type 2, you probably just need to lose some weight - just enough to get stored fat out of places it shouldn’t be - like liver and pancreas.
I was labelled as such in 2019 and fixed it within a few months - 6 years later and I’m working on the very last of my “safe” fat storage - which is really only cosmetic.
Type 2 diabetes is NOT a “chronic, incurable disease” that should be “lived with”..

I was put on too high a dose for many years. Bad side effects. Diarrhoea and heavy sweating. It took several years to convince my GP that it was a problem. I was told it was the safest drug. My new GP said “it is the cheapest!”
I’ve experienced that before—it could be due to the dawn phenomenon, late-night eating, or meds. Checking your overnight trends can really help, and it’s worth talking to your doctor if it keeps happening. I now use a CGM paired with an app to monitor my sugar more closely, and I make sure my sensor stays in place with an over patch(NJap) while taking my maintenance meds regularly.
