I have been on the 150mg dose for 5 days but I've noticed I'm unable to sleep for longer than 2 hours, there are times I'm not even tired but I try. My appetite had decreased slightly and my anxiety hasn't been good. I can't go near sharp objects or anything that can harm me because when enter a room I look about for dangers. I can't leave the house on my own either. Does anyone have any advice. Bare in mind I've had side effects from my 50mg - 100mg then 100mg - 150mg. I've been on sertraline for just over 6 months now.

I'm so sorry you have had to go through side effects each time you have upped your dosage, but it does get better, how long did your side effects last for before? If you are having trouble sleeping, maybe try rescue remedy nights, which is herbal so it won't effect your dosage of sertraline.
For each increase it last the full time 3 months for each dose. It was horrible but my doctor and psychiatrist doesn't want to change my medication just yet due to previous incidents. I will try this out thanks x

All the side effects you describe i've had too, Like you my dose increased to 150mg Sertraline beginning of Feb this year. My appetite is poor & anxiety gets so bad i too can't leave the house on my own.
I got so anxious due to lack of sleep my GP prescribed a low dose of sleeping tablets to be taken occasionally. They have helped me.
My GP has told me to stick with the Sertraline a little longer too. Everyone seems to be singing its praises (Sertraline) and saying how its transformed their lives so lets hope it starts to work its magic for us.

Ive been on sertraline since the 10th feb started on 25mg and increased to 50mg it will be my 5th night tonight taking it I'm hoping I feel better soon no appetitie no energy past few days my anxiety had become worse I won't even leave the house as I'm scared something terrible will happen is anyone else like this ? How did people get on taking 50mg??
How long did your side effects last for each time? I bet it was horrible, when I started them first time round, I had side effects for at least 2-3 weeks

My side effects lasted the full period of the dosage. I'm feeling okay I guess today, but still getting a lot of bad thoughts but I have nhs24 on speed dial just in case I need it x

hi that is a long time to go without seeng any benefits i would give the 150mg which you should have been on a while ago a little longer maybe 5 weeks if you see no difference a would ask for something else but a do hope you improve soon wishing you well take care.
hi a found the first and the third week were the worst on 50mg same with 100mg which am on just now but stick with it thins do get better but do not wait months.
