Im a 23 y old male and I was diagnosed with genital herpes around 2 weeks ago, the doctor made the diagnosis only by examining the area around my left buttocks where i had some irritaiton and sores but also pain from hemorrhoids. I was prescribed Aclovir 200 mg and to take 5 tablets each day for 5 days, the sores healed quite quickly (which were not realy causing any significant discomfort in the first place) and it has been now about 3/4 weeks since all this started because i waited abit too long before going to the doctor. Buuuut during this whole process i have had a weak stream while urinating, i have to force it out by taking deep breaths and then pushing, I also have constipation, the doctor told me to buy some laxatives but did not mention anything about the urinary retention problem. The laxatives work i guess, and i do not have any pain in my stomache or a feeling that i need to pass but cant, it just feels like if i dont make sure it happens it wount happen.
When i looked into it i cant realy find anything on the unrinary retention and constipation problem and genital herpes, and i wonder if i should go back to the doctor or wait it out as symptoms of the first outbreak?
This is weird. Why is everyone having urinary problem? I wonder if it will happen every now and then because of herpes. My left buttock felt weird. Abit of numbness and something else that i cant explain.
Its also weird that your doctor didn't ask you to do a blood test. Like he's so sure by just looking at it. Same as mine.

L'herpès peut causer des problèmes de rétention en raison de l'effet qu'il peut avoir sur certains nerfs. Il est très probable que cela soit lié et j'espère que cela passera (sans jeu de mots).
Im just wondering, how long does it takes for your genital ulcers to heal? It has been a month for me and i can still feel an open wound. It doesnt hurt but i can feel a tiny hole and skin hanging at the side of it, if you get what i mean.

It is my first outbreak. It has be around 23 days. It doesnt seems like its improving at all. It just feels the same. Infact, before this i had like 3 ulcers, last week i noticed another one. shouldnt it all appear at one shot? or they could come few weeks later? Also, does it scabs? How do you knw if it has healed completely?

La durée *moyenne* est de 3 semaines, ce qui signifie que certaines personnes guérissent plus rapidement, tandis que d'autres mettent plus de temps. Quatre semaines restent encore dans la « normale ». Prenez-vous des médicaments pour cette poussée ?
I'd like to think that it might not be herpes but once again, all my symptoms doesnt seem to be anything else other than that sigh. I dont wanna jinx it but throughout the outbreak i only felt intense pain for 15 minutes. But maybe because I was on medication (herpevex) since the first day of the outbreak, so maybe the outbreak was somehow suppressed. Only took it for 2 weeks i think. Anyway, yeah it has been a little too long without any improvement. Averagely it take 3weeks to heal? Its crazy! Ive read that some people get outbreaks every 2 weeks. So that actually means no sex forever? I think you've had it for awhile now right? How often do you get outbreaks?
On dirait que vous ne l'avez pas fait examiner et que vous supposez simplement qu'il s'agit probablement d'un herpès. Si c'est le cas, et si vous avez encore des ulcères ouverts, vous devriez faire un test de prélèvement dès que possible pour en avoir le cœur net (et pour savoir de quel type il s'agit, s'il s'agit bien d'un herpès). J'ai des poussées tous les 1-2 mois, mais elles sont légères et guérissent assez vite, donc je n'ai pas l'impression de l'avoir en permanence. J'espère aussi que la fréquence diminuera dans un an ou deux !
But its just a clean open wound. Can it still be swabbed? Im waiting for another few months to be tested again. Every 1-2 months is quite often. How fast do you heal? And how do you take care of it? Do you get any signals before you outbreaks? Sorry for all the questions. Hope you wont mind. Apparently the first year is the worst, i think the frequency will go down after.
Ce sont généralement des lésions uniques que je ne remarque que lorsque je m'essuie ou sous la douche, donc je ne fais presque rien, car elles ne me dérangent pas si je ne les touche pas. Récemment, j'ai essayé la crème à l'acyclovir après avoir développé une allergie ennuyeuse à l'huile de théier en bas. Je guéris généralement en 4 jours en moyenne. Oui, cela semble fréquent, mais la chose amusante, c'est que je n'ai pas l'impression qu'elles soient très fréquentes. Je n'ai regardé mon "calendrier des événements d'herpès" que l'autre jour, lol, et j'ai été surpris de constater que mes récurrences récentes n'ont été séparées que de 1 à 2 mois ! Si vous pouvez trouver une clinique qui peut faire un écouvillonnage PCR pour le HSV, vous pouvez encore faire un écouvillonnage. À défaut, un écouvillonnage de culture virale peut encore valoir la peine d'être essayé.
I've noticed another "pimple" looking bump on my vagina after ive searched around. Its so hard to know if i have healed or if i have new blisters. If im one of them who gets frequent outbreaks does this mean i'll get new ulcers before the old one heals? this means endless outbreaks!
Does it hurt alot even if its just one single lesion? My doctor said if its herpes it usually hurts alot when touched.
Mind if i ask how you deal with your sex life? I keep having thoughts like im contagious. I keep finding new blisters.

Mes lésions sont habituellement sur le périnée (la partie entre le vagin et l'anus) et cela provoque un gonflement et des douleurs, mais seulement au toucher, d'où le fait que je découvre de temps en temps une lésion étrange en prenant une douche ou en m'essuyant. Celle-ci était extrêmement petite, presque rien à voir, mais le gonflement et la douleur étaient les mêmes.
Lol, je suis la pire personne à qui demander des conseils sur le sexe post-herpès, car j'ai été tellement dégoûtée par ce qui m'est arrivé que je n'ai plus de vie sexuelle à proprement parler. Je ne veux pas avoir de rapports sexuels dans un avenir proche non plus, et c'est très bien comme ça. D'autres personnes ont des rapports sexuels après l'herpès, mais pas moi, pas encore.
Can you provide an update about how long it took for you to urinate normally? I'm have a very similar situation. I'm a 23 y old male, got herpes, developed sores in my buttocks, and I'm having the most difficult time urinating for 8 days now. The skin is almost completely healed, but the urinary retention hasn't improved at all. I'm also constipated for a week.
Just in case somebody crashes here looking for information.
My urinary retention and constipation took 12 days to get better. I didn't take any medicine. My tip is trying to sit on the toilet and relax for a while, crouching in the hot shower also helped me to urinate during those 12 days.
I think my anti virals make my pee extra stinky and yellow because its not good for my liver and I’m probably detoxing all the bacteria, towards day 5 i found myself constipated.... I’ve doubled up on my water intake
