I had protected sex with someone new 10 days ago. I went to the doctor 4 days later due to the burning. I was told I have BV. I was giving antibiotics and they'll be finished tomorrow, but my vagina is still burning. I was tested for basic STDs that came back negative and was told it is not a yeast infection. I do not have any bumps, lumps, or sores. I don't know what is causing the burning. I am going back to the doctor monday. Any insight would helpful.
are you using a vaginal wash? do you drink plenty of water/have a balanced diet? are your clothes too tight? are you wearing cotton underwear? are you scratching it too much? these could all be factors- not only that but you could be thinking about it so much that it wont go away. use the wash cetaphil for your vagina. its very gentle.
i went through this a year ago. it turned out to be mycoplasma. most docs won’t test for it cus everyone has it, and they don’t see it as a threat. my vagina was on fire for 5 months, until i got ahold of the proper antibiotics from a friend and cured myself. i also has severe burning with urination, and every test they gave me came back negative, so the docs thought i was crazy. many people have gone thru this, so i hope its not what you have. i do feel burning when i get bv, but it goes away with the meds. maybe have them check for yeast next visit? it can cause that too. i don’t mean to scare you about the mycoplasma thing, but i wish i knew about it in the beginning looking back, cus it could have saved me so much bullshit.
