i just had these ulcers appear after spending 5 hours in a hot tub w friends during a snow storm. i went to the clinic and they said i have BV and a UTI but they said i dont have herpes... prob just irritated from the pool ...thoughts? They are very painful and my labia is swollen, im on antibiotics, but curious if this could be something other than heroes or a reaction that i should get specifically tested for

Hi, if I hadn’t read your stories, I would have said it definitely look like herpes. But bath tub are filled with bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) that survive chlorine environment. They can infect oil glands and hair follicules.
I don’t like to contradict doctors because they know best. If you really want peace of mind, you can get swabbed for HSV. Otherwise, finishing your antibiotic treatment is the best thing to do because your sores can be boils.
hey did the sores improve after ? I currently have something that looks similar, and was in a similar situation with hit tubs and pools along with rough sex before
