So, I am on 150mg of Venlafaxine and am now 4 days into 11 weeks and I feel it has not kicked in anxiety still bad and low mood, is this normal could it just be taking time to kick in I feel horrible.
I was on venlafaxine once before at 150mg and was great so came off and basically had a relapse things went very bad, so got back on it been going up from 37.5mg 4 weeks, then 75mg 7 weeks then 112.5mg 7 weeks now I am on 150mg for 4 days into 11 weeks.
I am losing every bit of sanity I have left, I was put on Mirtazipine 7.5mg for month and it made me feel awful so DR stopped that and I am now 19 days off of that.
So I was 4-5 weeks into 150mg felt like it was working then it just went downhill again.
Just need so reassurance as I am getting frustrated and keep crying.

I’m not on your medication but I have been on fluoxetine for a long time on and off at different doses.
This is for anxiety, depression and OCD symptoms (OCD thoughts).
I was on 20mg for quite a long time and then this was increased to 40mg back in June when I was struggling after starting a new job.
It has taken a long time for me to start to feel better and I believe it can take months before the benefits start to kick in.
I’m still not 100% but i’m a lot better than I was, so the best advice I can give you is to try and be patient and take each day as it comes and hopefully you’ll gradually start to see an improvement as the weeks pass by.
Also being on here and other sites can be helpful as you realise you’re not on your own and there are a lot of people struggling with exactly the same thing, so hopefully that will give you some comfort.
Stick with it and take each day and week at a time. Recovery is a marathon not a sprint.

I think I am just getting frustrated as to the time it is taking to get better I went back on Venlafaxine in June.
I guess as I am not at the 12 week mark on this dose yet there is still time.

Hang in there and try and be patient. Things will get better! 
So, my titration timeline is as follows so far
Effexor XR 37.5mg (4 weeks)
Effexor XR 75mg (7 weeks 2 days)
Effexor XR 112.5mg (7 weeks 3 days)
Effexor XR 150MG (3 days into 12 weeks)
Still wating still low mood, anxious, shaky, nervous, and still have bilateral tinnitus starting to lose faith!
