Vitamin D causing anxiety?

Hi guys for I have taken a big dose of 10,000 IU of Vitamin D every day since the 8th of this month. I noticed my anxiety increase within about 3 days of beginning the Vitamin D. I am also more tired than usual and my appetite is not as good, it seems to be interfering with my sleep too. I have read that I could be experiencing too much calcium in my body and the Vitamin D is eating up Magnesium and increasing my anxiety. I didn't know I had to take Vitamin K2 with the Vitamin D3 to prevent the calcium build up. Anyone think it is the Vitamin D causing my anxiety? I have not taken any today so hopefully I should feel better in the next few days.

When I started taking vitamin D my anxiety got better, I had more energy and I slept better. I do take epsom salt baths for magnesium though.

It's interesting how supplemental Vitamin D affects people differently. In the summer sunshine I feel much better but not on the supplement form. Some others I know feel the same and others like yourself.

Try to cut back the dosage.  It may be too high for you

Definately too high unless specifically ordered by your doctor. 2,000 per day should be max for self dosing. You can get 1’000 in some multiple vitamins which would give you the k and mag balance and the other 1,000 in a supplement. Separate with different meals (ie) breakfast and dinner as the body can only absorb so much at one time.

PS Sunshine is different than vitamin D in how the body reacts.

It is intriguing if some people feel worse taking the tablets. Are you deficient or just taking it as a precaution?
