Seven years ago, I came to this forum after a vitrectomy for a detached retina. The support here was incredible, and I’m glad it’s back. If you’re facing a vitrectomy, follow your specialist’s instructions, ask questions, and be patient — recovery takes time. I had cataract surgery seven months post-op and it took over nine months for my eye to really heal. My prescription changed several times during that period of time! But today my vision in that eye is great. I’m grateful for the medical advances that saved my sight. If you’d like to share your experience, I’m here to listen — it helps to know you’re not alone.
