So, over the last month, I’ve had multiple attacks, 2 A&E visits with the second resulting in me being admitted for 4 days due to blocked stone and bad infection.
My MRCP scan came through within 3 weeks and am having that this Sunday.
Anyone know how long I could be waiting for the op to remove it? It’s on the NHS.

I found out that I had gallstones about March time, still waiting for my operation.
Like yourself i was admitted to hospital, I origianlly hadnt a clue what it was - so it ended up worse than what it should be.
I’ve had the MRCP scan too.
Phoned hospital today to see the progress, as it was an emergency - still on the waiting list 
Hopefully you find out soon.
Where in the UK are you?
I’m in Wales and NHS guidelines here are non urgent surgeries are done within 18 weeks.
As I will also be classed as urgent, I’m hoping it won’t be that long.
How awful you’ve been waiting so long!
I know one lady that waited only 3 weeks but another 6 months 
Im from Northern Ireland - absolute disaster how long i’ve been waiting.
It’s not a very nice way to be living, esp when you can’t eat much
I hope you don’t have to wait this long - Think I fell between the cracks, my original consultant retired 3 weeks after i got out of hospital

oh literally only in the last couple of weeks. I was in hospital as my liver function results were pretty bad, must’ve passed a big stone!

I live in wales Nov 2016 I was classed as urgent for gallbladder removal I’m still waiting ! I’m in pain most days the only way to control it is no fat at all . I’ve lost 2 stones . so improve my calorie intake with home made banana milkshakes with oats blended in . it’s quite nice . I now have complications as my mri showed some stones have moved this is most likely because I have been left so long . I would pester your doctor . or I wouldn’t recommend this pig out on a mega high fat meal burgers pizza but the pain is unbearable but they might do something then . not a good idea really . perhaps the drugs that dissolve might help . best of luck x

I’m hoping the fact that I’ve been hospitalised and had a bad blockage that affected my liver (I was yellow for a week!) means I won’t wait that long.
The max (according to NHS website) is 28 weeks wait so not sure why you’ve been waiting so long?! that’s Terrible.
im still waiting for mine its an emergency apparently, my original consultant retired 5 weeks after being in hosp.. my liver functions were awful
