In my room I have a painting that has a white background. When I woke up this morning, I glanced at the painting and when I looked away I saw a shadow of the painting. On my closet I have white patterns on it. I looked at my closet and when I looked away I could see a shadow of the designs. I looked at the blinds in my room and when I looked away I could see the shadow of the blinds. The lights in my room were off when this happened. I panicked and I ran out of my room to splash water on my face. Once I calmed down, I laid on my bed in the same position I woke up in and looked at the painting , my closet and my blinds and the same thing happened. I turned on the lights in my room to see if the same thing would happen again and it did. Should I be concerned? I went to get my eyes checked a few days ago and my doctor said my eyes we're good. I got the back of my eyes checked as well and there was nothing of concern. Even though eyes are healthy I'm very worried about the "shadows" I'm seeing. **Here are all the medications/ vitamins I take** (I don't know if this is related but I thought I should include this just to be sure) - Magnesium (250 mg daily) - Vitamin B12 (1000 mcg daily) - Vitamin C (500 mg daily) - Vitamin D (12.5 mcg daily) - Iron (300 mg daily) - Eye drops (Thealoz Duo 3-5 drops daily)
This sounds quite normal…its just the after images and most people experience this at some time. Its an illusory effect caused by the retina/optic nerve and brain all working together. Dont worry.
Some people find these fascinating .
Thats normal love, my sight also does that also, nothing to worry about .
