An increased heart rate, that lasted until about 6:39 and I ended up falling back asleep until about 8:15 while they started happening again. Not too horribly but noticeable if that makes sense. Is this normal post ablation? Makes me want to do nothing because I'm scared somethin will happen. Please read asap thank you

From what I had been told the palps ate pretty standard. Can you not call your EP specialist or cardiologist to inquire?. Did they not explained your symptoms before you were discharged?
I had an unsuccessful ablation done in June, and can not wait to have it redone
Also, go on iTunes and watch videos of people post ablation. That might settle you done seeing and hearing other people with same thing

I had an unsuccesful ablation in January - for now I'm on beta blockers (just started them a week ago). I found after the ablation that if I fell asleep on my left side I'd wake up with an SVT. Sleeping on my right side seemed to help (I found that advice on the forum, my doctor doesn't think it's a real thing).

Well, the good news is today I didn't wake up with any palpitations. Let's hope that lasts all day! Although.. I did wake up feeling pretty weak and wasn't sure what that was about. Anybody post SVT experience being really weak in the morning? Thank you.
Yea, good for you. Yes, the weakness/tiredness after a SVT is normal
Eu diria que isso é realmente um problema canadense. Deitar do lado esquerdo me causa palpitações, mas me disseram que é por causa do nervo vasovagal. Não tenho tantas quanto quando deito do lado direito, mas, no final das contas, deitar de costas é a melhor opção, só que é chato porque normalmente sou um dorminhoco de lado.
Not too great so far today guys, woke up around 8:15 feeling okay.. had some eggs with onions and cheese and took a shower.. felt really weak and currently feel lots of weakness and fatigue.. praying it's because I'm healing and it gets better soon.. want to feel good after this surgery and I'm not yet! It's day 6.. hoping for the best. If you guys believe that weakness and heavy fatigue is normal this far post ablation please tell me.. i mean it still is early but of course I'm nervous. Thank you.

Meus braços ficam como geléia e eu nem consigo levantar nada ou subir escadas. Eu diria que, para você, estando apenas quase uma semana pós-ablação, isso é muito normal. Algumas pessoas não se sentem bem novamente por um mês, mas, novamente, nunca é ruim ligar para o seu cardiologista e informar o que está acontecendo. Eles serão os que lhe darão a melhor tranquilidade.
Great question! Not sure - also had some issues with my IV not being very effective. It was hitting the wall of my vein and I didn't get all the "good" drugs. So I'm sure that stressed me out a bit. Also I didn't think it would knock me on my butt as much as it did - I should have given myself more time for recovery. Doc wants to try again, I want to get in better shape before that happens. I think recovery will be easier if I'm not carrying around an extra 40 pounds. Are you going to try again?
Well what did they tell you at the hospital other than the vein thing. I just don't get it.
Did they get your heart into tachycardia?
I went through the whole procedure except for the final part which is the zapping of the irregular circuit.
I was completely awake....no sedation at all except what they give you to get your heart rate up.
Where did you have it done. I had mine in Toronto Canada .
I was told to stay low for a couple of days. The following day I went to my cottage and just laid around. No bleeding at the groin, just site and bruising .
I do want to have it done again, but have to be off benzos for some time before. Thats what thay think screwed up the procedure
Totally normal! I thought I'd just need a day or two - but it took a good month to feel my strength come back. Stairs were the worst! Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much! Seriously felt like poop this morning but now that it's after 12 and I've had a few hours to wake up I feel pretty normal.. Really hope that the weakness and heavy fatigue go away in the morning.. And hopefully it's normal! Lol thank you again

Where did you have your ablation done?
We have an amazing doctor here in Regina - that's where I had mine done. They were able to get my heart in tachycardia and they did burn it - not sure why it didn't work. I work downtown and was able to make it to my specialists office during one of my episodes post procedure. At the time my heart rate was around 199 - that lasted about an hour.
He actually hit my artery when he was going in with one of the lines - so there was some concern around that. Tho I've had an angiogram before, so I knew to becareful of not opening that up!
They thought it was succesful so I'm not sure if I just didn't give myself enough recovery time or what - but I'd do it again. I'm now on beta blockers which seem to be helping - I've only had one short episode since starting them.

Were you on beta blockers prior to the ablation? I was until 5 days prior to ablation. I was told after a successful ablation would not longer needs the beta blockers. Even though mine was unsuccessful, I did not go back on them.
Were you told you will be off them post ablation?
How are your side affects with them? Mine were horrendous
I wasn't on them before, had the procedure in January and my GP just put me on them. Been on them for almost two weeks. So far the side effects aren't too bad - what were yours like? I'm only on 25mg so maybe that's why? I'd have episodes of a 200 heart rate for an hour at a time - so far the beta blocker is doing the trick. But no drinking right? At least I haven't had a drink yet.
