3 weeks ago I had a RIGHT hip replacement. Surgeon told me, in the hospital, everything went o.k. however, there is a little crack in my pelvis, he said he either pressed too hard and/or condition of my bones was the reason of a little crack in the pelvis. He said he put pins in the cracked pelvis and I wil recover fine.
It is almost 3 months and I am not able to walk without a slight pinch in that area, it is very uncomfortable when I walk. I am very, very disturbed. My 2nd post visit to see the surgeon is next week!
the Physical Thrapist statd that I should be walking without any cane or walker. I do walk without them, however that "pinch" is very uncomfortable and I want to know what's happening? Is this a malpractice, should I seek a second opinion? I am totally disturbed and don't want to be "uncool" when I see him next week for a progress report.
By the way, I am a vegetarian, quite fit for my age, very active and have never been in the hospital before my hip replacement, since the birth of my son 42 years ago!!!!
Also, 3 years ago, I did have a left hip replacement, bone to bone, and everything went perfect!! My left leg was a little' longer than the right side. Three years later 2016, I thought this right hip repacement would correct that difference (since it too was arthritic, but NOT bone to bone)
Post operation on my right side, there is a "balance" no shorter or longer, but this pinch in my joint on my right side is my complaint. NO IT IS NOT A CONSTANT PAIN, ONLY WHEN I WALK AND IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. MY REGUALR GAIT HAS NOT RETURNED!!
I AM LOOKING FOR ANSWERS AND NO MORE SURGERY!!!
