Weird feeling in head when getting a panic attack

Does anyone ever get a weird like almost annoying tingly/flush feeling in your head when a panic attack is coming on. like it makes you feel like you want to hit your head against a wall cause of how crazy it makes you feel? or am i the only one? its like a very annoying irritating feel in my head and then i cant breathe and what not.

yes, I get this, and a host of other symptoms too, every time its different, never know what this anxiety is going to throw at me…

For me panic attacks would happen usually when there is a lot of people around and you look stupid if you collapsed. For what it’s worth the threat is scarey and you are out of control but what you fear will happen never actually does. You’ll find your own techniques to deal with it

Yeah I’ve had tingling in the face/head before a panic attack. You feel like someone ought to see something different in your face but it looks just the same. The worst was is when i get pins and needles in just one half of my face/head and it can last a few days. Feels like its buzzing/crawling.

Hey thanks for replying,

Do you take any medication to help with panic attacks? For an example like Xanax or Klonopin. I take xanax when I feel a panic attack coming on and thats usually the only time I take it.

I can understand that. I am opposite, I get very anxious and go into a panic attack when I’m all alone. Its like I’m afraid I’m going to die and no one is going to be there to save me. Other than that crowd can make me anxious sometimes, but it honestly helps me to be around a lot of friends/and or family.

Do you take any medication for your anxiety/panic attacks? Sometimes I feel like the higher my dose is of prozac I go up to, the worse the panic attack is because its like the medicine is trying so hard to keep it away. Does that make sense?

I just take 20mg citalopram (celexa) for anxiety in general to help manage it.
