Hi, I had my GB removed two weeks ago, I was in pain a few days post op. But I am well now, I can eat almost everything except spicy food.
I am taking a low fat diet, more fruits and vegetables.
I am still taking rest and am not driving because I can still feel some pain while bending and picking up stuff, I hope I get well.
I hear some sad experiences, I hope you all get well.
I' ve been reading lots of stuff on the internet about GB removal and from what I understand, is now my bile drains continuously into my stomach and when I eat a heavy meal, it may not digest well because there is not enough bile.
Does anyone know if it would be helpful to drink a beverage that is similar to bile to help with the digestion, I mean a 100% natural drink, like juice, tea, soda or wine or anything that is harmless?
Thanks.
Veeren
You need to take bike salts that come in a pill. You can find them in Amazon.
I'm sorry to hear about you pain after POST Op. I have few questions becuase I had mine on the 18 of may so far good. I took a pain pill cuz I wanted to get some sleep. Otherwise I did not need any pain pill.
Did you had any sysmptom before and on prior to surgery ??? This is important becuase I want to understand some correlation between Pain going into and after...
I did had an attack before but wait till my pain and symptom settled down before surgery. Not forgetting I pray to GOD for two days to take control of the Dr and the situation...This is how I prepared for mine and I walk out the hospital with incision wounds that's it
I did had an attack two weeks before my surgery thats how i knew something was wrong, It was like a severe cramp, like a muscle pull and it was acute pain. In addition, i felt like a negligible dull pain after heavy meal especially after dinner. After surgery, a few days, i had severe pain under my rib cage, when taking deep breath, yawning, burping. But no pain when I lie down.
I am felling better now, i am taking a walk for 10 min, and gradually increasing everyday.
I did had a laparoscopic appendectomy before and I recovered a lot quicker.
But this one I feel its gonna take some time. Some nights I cannot sleep on my side because i get pain where the GB was, I dont know why. I'm gradually adjusting.
Good to hear youre doing ok.
Cheers
