What generic brand names work best?

I have been on Zoloft for approx. 20 years. Throughout that time, depending on my insurance coverage, I have taken generic setraline from different manufacturers. Because my current insurance does not cover the name brand Zoloft, I am forced to take a generic. I was on the generic brand manufactured by Greenstone for many years. Occasionally, the pharmacy changed generic brand they were receiving . Each time I felt a difference almost immediately. Now that Greenstone is no longer manufacturing the generic for Zoloft, I am in a dilema . The brand Zoloft is so expensive!!! I cannot afford to take the brand. Can anyone that was taking the generic manufactured by Greenstone and forced to change brands offer advice to what brand is working for you?

Hello, i have taken all manners of brands and generics of SERTRALINE for 20 years and have never felt any difference between branced Zoloft and the generics. The active ingredient is all the same in these tablets. It's all in your mind and anyone in anxious state will start to imagine and manifest all manner of side effects due to the immense power and imagination of your mind. I have taken the pepsi Zoloft challenge many times and there is no difference

A generic medicine is the same as a brand-name medicine in dosage, safety, effectiveness, strength, stability, and quality, as well as in the way it is taken and should be used. The FDA Generic Drugs Program conducts a rigorous review to make sure generic medicines meet these requirements.

strongly disagree

i totally agreed.grounded.

that was meant for grounded .sorry for mishap.

i meant sarotonin.lol

I was told by several pharmacist that the active ingredients are the same, but the fillers are different. Also, the fillers can interact with the way your body absorbs the medicine.

the fillers are salt /sugars /lactose/starch.if you are Intolerant to those ingredients perhaps it will make a difference.

disagree

give us the answer john.

in my opinion always stay on the same brand . Ihave tried different generics and each time symptoms have returned until my body has adjusted to them . I am sure most would agree .

This is utterly nonsense. FDA never tests or verifies generics; manufacturing locations outside of US are NOT inspected any more. Taking generics are like playing Russian roulette. I've tried for 18 months to find one for this and cannot. Am leaving sertraline for good.
