35F, 5'7, 186lbs, Caucasian, 10" abdominal girth growth since June 2020, controlled hypothyroidism for 20 years, synthroid 112mcg, smoker, non drinker and no drug use. Beginning January 2020 I began experiencing UTI's after intercourse with my husband of 12 years. I saw a urogynecologist who completed a Cystoscopy and found nothing. Around the end of May I noticed my left ovary was sore so this same doctor ordered a ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a complex cyst with internal septation. When the doctor called me back with the US results (beginning of June) I asked if it was normal with my cyst to have the amount of bloating I was experiencing. She said it was not an ordered a CT scan. Last year I lost 50lbs and entered a weightloss competition and I recorded my final weight and measurements. Since 2019 and my weightloss I've not gained back a single pound and maintained a weight around 193lbs. I bring this up because I have documented measurements of my abdomen. The CT scan showed focal soft tissue prominence in the cecum at the origin of the appendix with wall thickening of the appendix. Numerous right lower quadrant lymph nodes were also seen. The report suggested a colonoscopy. I then met with a doctor last Friday who recommended a colonoscopy immediately which I did this past Monday. Everything looked great except the appendix base showed mild thickening. He biopsied 4 spots and pathology came back yesterday with no issues or evidence of colitis or the like. As I currently stand my abdomen has grown 10.5" with an increase of a quarter inch a week since I started measuring. My weight has dropped to 186 without trying. I have ZERO abdominal pain. I can still feel my left ovary pain but it is manageable without medication. My doctor is stumped. He is hesitant to open me up and look at my appendix. All bloodwork came back great (including CA125). He wants to send me back to the urogynecologist. He also suggested another CT (my last CT was 2 weeks ago). My chief concern is the growth in my abdomen. I can no longer look down and see my vagina, my back hurts and it's starting to be more difficult to breathe (I'm running out of breath quicker then normal). I look like I'm 6 months pregnant with ZERO weight gain. If anyone has any insight as to what else this could please, I'd be GREATLY appreciative of your time.
