My leg lifter. It is so simple but brilliant. I couldn't get into bed without it. But the grabber is very useful too.

The stick clips so I could 'park' them on the table next to me, and my recliner with the extra height base that I made before my operations.
Oh yes, and both of them were 'cheap as chips'.
Don't think I've seen the stick clips. I just ten to throw mine on the floor and hope I don't hit the coffee table. And, yes my rise and recliner has been a god send. Almost new for £50 :-)
Can I show ignorance and ask what a leg lifter is.
The only ones I have used are my hubby and g,'daughter.
Hi Chrizzy,
I'd never heard of a leg lifter either. You can Google of course. However, the other day someone here gave a great description. Think of dogs leash and collar with NO dog. You put your foot in the collar part (support for foot) and use the two longer ropes / handles / leash to pull your leg up.
My sister had a very long and strong belt she had used in the past and has lent me and it works great.

Good description
Stick clips were about £1 - well worth it.
I used to use my stick - reverse it so you hold the lower part, and hook the handle under your foot or lower leg (depending on where you are and what you're trying to do).
Brilliant idea as usually my stick is not far away
Will have to track some down for my sister as she is due to have her knee done and brother another hip.
My wife found them for me in a local mobility shop, but they are available on line
