White patches inside mouth

I have white rash type lesson inside my mouth since 3 months, as per dentist it is lichen planus and he has given antoxid HC capsules and candid+Tacroz forte cream to apply locally, have visited ENT and he told mucosa is fine, sometime burning sensation but No pain since 3 months, Rashes was hard earlier and now it is getting soft gradually.

Can you please guide about this

I am very much scared

No need to be worried. Many of us are fighting the same disease. I can't believe there are so many creams and lubricants to use inside the mouth and many, many different kinds of tablets too. I find the tablets work the best. I have used Cellcept and also Plaquenil.  They both work on Oral Lichen Planus, but I don't like the side effects of the Cellcept so I got my doctor to change my prescription.

The best doctor to see is a dermatologist. I saw an ENT and a dentist and neither one of them knew how to treat OLP.

What country are you from? I detect a different dialect.

I am. From INDIA

Well, I was right. I was thinking India. smile

Good Day,

Linda

I'm not much of a guide i'm afraid I feel like I have not received very good care, My dentis gave me a gel then my ENT thought it is caused by dental work so I went to a dematologist who is sending me to a specialist on Sept 11 to have a dental panel allergy test done and she gave me another gel desoximetasone.

Mine started out as white rough spots but are now red and white and a lot worse and painful. No one seems worried so I know what you mean about being scared. I don't think any of my doctors know what they are doing

Just a bit more information - Mine was diagnosed by a dermatologist by doing a lip biopsy. The lab confirmed that it was Oral Lichen Planus.

In my case dentist has confirmed the same after visual inspection.

Going to see a dermatologist as well for his opinion

Good idea! It never hurts to get two opinions.

Have a good day.

Linda
