I can not figure out these stripes on my nail bed.
I had them for over 30 years. Started with one nail, now its on nine if my nails.
It seems to be on the nail bed because strips are faintly visible on skin of nail bed when nails were cut short.

Only a dermatologist can tell you for sure what these stripes are, but my grandfather had them and his doctor said they were caused by a protein or zinc deficiency.
Perhaps a complete check-up will help to find the cause.
