Why have Gallbladder attacks stopped

I am a 40yo female. 2 years ago, after 3 painful attacks, I was diagnosed with gallstones. The doc said they were large stones. I do not have medical insurance so I still have my gallbladder. I was diligent in my my diet for a long time, but would still have attacks frequently. That continued up until a few months ago when the attacks stopped. In 4 months I've had one attack. I admit my diet is not so great these days, and still no attacks or discomfort. What could cause the attacks to just stop? I'm glad I haven't had to experience that pain in a while, but I'm also concerned.

Hi. I had very bad acid burning and burping for a day and a half. My liver function readings were really high and I was sent to A and E. But the symptoms disappeared. The belief was that a stone or some gallstone dust had blocked the bile duct but later was passed into the bowel or stopped blocking somehow. The gallbladder was removed anyway as they said it would probably happen again. That was 17 days ago using open surgery. Good luck!

Maybe a stone that was blocking your bile duct has moved or you've passed it?
