Hi all I’ve been on norethisterone last month and I’ve just came of the tablets last weds and I’m now on day 7 of my withdrawal bleed and it’s not stopping please can someone help and advice me when this withdrawal will finish as I’m going to gyne at end of this month cause of the 5 years of hell with heavy prolonged periods and pcos i have but theses tablets make no sense and the bleeding is taking to long to come off ******
Norethisterone as you are aware is a period delay
Although you don’t bleed during it the lining of your womb will still build up with it
How long were you on them?
I was only on the for last month 90 tablets I was prescribed as my periods are very prolonged and do not stop and just continue for over 2 weeks! I’m seeing gyne at end of this month but my dr has now put me on a different tablet called medroxyprogesterone 10mg 2 times a day ( 90 tablets ) as she said it’s a serious on going problem 
I also have PCOS & iron deficiency
hi Im curious if you can post an update i will be taking norithindrone for 30 days to stop my 6 week long period. im scared of the withdrawl bleeding
