Has anyone had a horrible tension headache after stopping amitriptyline?
I have been taking 20mg at night for over 10 years but was told to stop taking it by my doctor as I have trigeminal neuralgia and have been prescribed carbamazepine. I was told I could not take them both at the same time.
Since stopping I have an awful tight tension headache which never goes. I have been off them for 2 weeks. Any advice?

i too have recently come off amitriptyline and also had headaches every day and nausea but i think its easing now and im feeling much better. Give it time and hopefully you’ll be feeling better soon.
