Preocupado com meu cérebro

Hi,

I’ve been struggling for months with my head health as ever since April I’ve felt dizzy every day and like I can’t stand or walk straight. The doctors took my blood and told me (a month later) that I had a severe vitamin D deficiency, so I took the prescribed medicine and yet I still feel it. So they gave me sumatriptan and it made it worse, so they gave me codeine which works for the head pains I get as I get sharp pains in the right side of my head quite often, however I’m still dizzy and they said they’d need to put me in for a neurologist exam. I’m worried that they’re not doing what they should and that there’s something seriously wrong with me and by the time anyone figures it out, it’ll be too late.

Ask/demand an MRI if you haven’t had one yet. This was eventually how they found my Moyamoya.

How is your vitamin D level now?

I’ve tried but they prescribed codeine instead

They said they wouldn’t bother testing my vitamin D level now, but it was at 11 when I had the issue and they gave me six 50,000 unit tablets of vitamin D to take so I guess they assumed it’d be fixed now

Are you taking a daily Multivitamin? Helps if you have a deficiency in any regular vitamins or minerals, and it doesn’t do any harm if not needed.

What type of stabbing pain is it, and how often?

I take cod liver oil for vitamins A+D and the pain is just like a knife going into the right side of my head at least once a day for around an hour on and off.

Do you have anything that triggers it? Same time each day?

Is it a bit like a really bad headache? It could be a migraine?

In any case, this is something Doctors should be looking at seriously.

Do you want to have a go at marking on this head where it hurts -

It sounds like a vitamin D deficiency, especially the dizziness and lack of balance. It also sounds a lot like an icepick headache. Are you sensitive to lights, motion, smells during these episodes.? Do you feel nauseous.?

If the medicine is not helping, then they need to look into a different medicine, but first I would think they would try to discover what else could be causing it besides the vitamin D deficit. An MRI would be the best option.
