I had a heniated disc for the last 4 months with siatica... back has been ok and back to normal except muscle pain.....now dianosed with SC.... im getting sharp electro like pains in my feet, parts of my leg and sometimes my back.... somtimes its like pins n needles but more painful. chiropractor says its nothing to do with my back as thats healed ok.
Don't think a chiropractor can say that without an up to date MRI also it could be stenosis which I have in my cervical spine that give me pins and needles numbness and muscle spasms make a note of your symptoms and contact your gp
Hi
my dad had CS that caused pins and needles in his leg to the point where it would go numb and give way. Luckily he had an operation which was successful. It might be worth seeing a doctor or a specialist. In my long time go having CS chiropractors don't really know as much as they think they do. Go to a doctor.
think i have very much the same as you Ashton.... i got my diagnosis on paper and a refferal to physio but no one explaned symptoms or anything with me. C5/6 level there is moderate annular osteodiscal bar with left sided predominance which causes moderately sever narrowing of the neural exit foramina on left side........ C6-C7 level there is an annular disc bulge which cause moderate narrowing of the left neural exit forarm....... all mumbo jumbo to me but im sure others here have this .....
Chiros don't diagnose....they just give advice. Best go to your GP and ask for an MRI referral and a referral to Physiotherapist. That's the only route to determining C/S.
I have CS ... just getting these electric kind if pains and wonderd if it was a symptom.
They could be a C/S symptom. Or could be lumbar issue. They would have to determine which with MRI and EMG tests. Different treatments depending on diagnosis. But, yes, any burning, tingling, 'electric', pins and needles , throbbing pains, or numbness, can indicate C/S.
