Im a little worry cause I have decreased my dose from 50 to 25mg since 8 days. The last few days, when I sleep or nap, I feel some palpitations or what seems to be like skip heart beats!
Its scares me a lot... Im scare of this meanning a heart attack or something?
Maybe I decreased too fast?
I was only a 50mg for weeks and a half before going down to 25?!
Does someone experienced that?
It's probably anxiety .. check with your doctor

I was the opposite, before I started zoloft I would get the racing heart beats when I would just wake up from a nap. For me it was anxiety. I know this isn't exactly what your going through but maybe since ur decreasing your med the anxiety is causing it. Have you spoken to your doctor, if not you should. He might recommend you take a benzo just to get you through it.

Just wondering what is benzo? I’m on Zoloft to and it’s been a long process sometimes side effects are worse than other days . So wondering if that helps while on Zoloft?
Brenda, it’s an anxiety med like a Valium or Xanax but they are extremely addictive which is why most people leave them alone unless absolutely necessary.
Benzodiazepines are valium, ativan,xanax. Known as tranquilizers. Used for short period of time, although some people take regularly by doctors order only. I take ativan as needed. I can go weeks without but when my stress and anxiety gets too high I take a half of 5 mg. Talk to your doctor and see if it is something that can help you or not.
Never had heart problems before but I think it might be a mix of withdrawal and anxiety.
The thing is that I mostly notice it in my sleep since 2 or 3 days.
I think I did experienced that while withrawing prozac before... I said that to the doc at the time and it wasnt bothering her.
