Just been for 10 week weigh in, i've lost a kilo in 2 weeks but bit disappointed that my weight loss is slowing down. I've got loads to lose and was hoping that the weight loss wouldn't slow down yet. :roll: Must admit I do feel a bit bloated this week anybody else had same feeling? Any suggestions??
can you make any small adjustments to your diet or exercise to give it a shake up? have you tried drinking green tea or eating a small apple after main meals to boost metabolism?
unfortunally it is pretty common for the weight loss to slow down, it slowed down quickly for me to, infact i plateau'd for a while but in that time saw noticable inch loss.

Thanks for replying sparkles I eat an apple after main meals. I have been eating my tea later because i found it too hot to eat earlier, wasn't hungry but then I go with my friend and help her do her cleaning job so it's not like I sit around after i've eaten. I will try and eat earlier see if that makes any difference. I haven't got round to taking measurements, i'll try and persuade myself but don't really want to know how big my waist and hips are but I suppose it will keep me going if I do plateau. What else do you measure? I was thinking of doing the two bowls of cereal and one main meal but don't know if I can keep that up and know that this wont be enough calories, my nurse has told me to eat between 12,000 and 15,000 calories a day which means i'm often well below 30g of fat. I don't snack very often (I did eat two rice cakes late last night though). I know that some loss is better than gaining or no loss but I will be disappointed if it takes me til xmas to lose 2 stone (as I have so much to lose )as the nurse pointed out I could do if I lose a pound a week. I eat special K or other low fat cereal for breakfast, salad, apple mullerlight yoghurt 5 times a week, main meal usually jacket potato with low fat filling, rice , pasta or ww meal for tea, apple, ww dessert or low fat trifle. I drink two-three cups of tea, drink NAS squash, skinny cow hot choc before bed and use 1% milk for cereal and tea. I only take tablets a lunch and tea as I can't take bluey with thyroid medication in the morning. I What did you do to kick start losing again? Anybody else got any tips ? I think I've done well to lose 10 kilos in 10 weeksh as i've struggled so long with slow matabolism ( 6 months target was 10.7 kilos so I've nearly cracked so i must look different, clothes are fitting better but was hoping i'd have to buy smaller size by now. I'm disappointed nobody at work as made any comments but I will carry on trying my best
i measured waist, hips, bust and thigh - i believe some also measure upper arms
i did my own spin on the special k diet - i like special k but not enough to have 2 times a day for 2 wks and with nothing else so i would have a bowl of cereal (sultana bran, weetabix or special k) for breakfast, then on days when i was at work would have a normal lunch but aimed to have 10-15g fat in that meal and then cereal for tea with fruit, on the weekends i'd have the cereal for breakie and lunch and 10-15g fat for tea. i had 1% milk with all cereal and had a tablet with each meal. also had a cup of green tea each day which boosts the metabolism.
i also try and mix up the exercise i do, sometimes do more gym cardio stuff, then workouts and swimming - stops me from getting bored!
