Today is the day that I finally have that surgery.... scared, hoping for the best........
Good luck, I am 8 weeks post op now and so pleased with the result!
I was petrified before op, had spinal and sedation and when I came around after op, I could not believe it was over, all those years of dread, I was thrilled and still am, a couple of rough days at first, but just take the painkillers they give you.
I will be thinking of you, you'll soon be a hippy. Take care and let us know how it goes.
Veronica
I hope it goes well and you post on here in a few days saying you're feeling fabulous! All the best.
I'm just starting my journey seeing specialist and physio.
This time next week you will be up and walking.thoughts and prayers x
Good luck xx
Best of luck for today. I am 10 weeks post op - my second THR this year. l had my first one in January and its amazing not having that awful pain every day that drags you down. You would think that I wouldnt have been scared the second time round but I was! We are only human and cant help our fears and anxieties but itvwill soon be over and you will be waking up in recovery ready for a cup of tea. 😀
And you can look forward to a Happy (Hippy?) pain free New Year.
Let us know how you are getting on.

Aww bless you I'm 12 days post op and getting there:-) slowly and with the help of painkillers xx I too was petrified of op but all I remember is feeling something cold on my back for spinal next thing waking up to be told it had all been done :-) good luck for a pain free future xxx
Best of luck for today. I'm nearly nine weeks now and doing more every day. To be able to get up stairs pain free is wonderful. Thinking about it is sometimes worse than the actual operation.
Thinking of you, and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Good Luck, you'll be so much better soon.

Hope all goes well keep up with the painkillers and do not be a afraid to ask for more
All will be well and u will be soooo pleased you did this! Accept help, don't be too proud. Order your grabber, extra pillows and a bath seat (if u don't have a walk in shower) - to help with dignity and independence!
Look forward to hearing from you on the other side!
Wishing you the very best of luck. \I hope everything goes smoothly for you xxx
You have already made the great first step getting to where you are today...like a lot of us hippies we also had concerns and were nervous about the surgery....perfectly natural....but as you can read the majority are pleased with the outcome. After your surgery the key is patience, positivity and diligence with the post op exercises....
Good luck and we will be thinking of you ...
Philip
Best of luck tru
Let us know how you get on.
We will all be hoping for your return as a "hippy"
