I had my gallbladder removed on Thursday and the first few days apart from the obvious belly pain/discomfort i felt ok. Yesterday i started with sharp pains in my left temple and i feel shattered and i feel like its my head that's making me feel poorly. I am wondering if it's just my bodies after effects of the anaesthetic. I also haven't had a bowel movement yet either.
I did not have a bowel movement for 2 or 3 days either.
It is very early days Dianne, you have just had surgery.
I am day 19 and I am still not quite right, though a lot better than I was with the gallstones.
We will have off days for a bit.
Do not try and do too much too soon.
Try to be careful what you eat. I had scampi chips and ice cream on Friday, a big mistake!!
Take care
Praying for you
Lots of love

Sounds like you may be on the dehydrated side. You could try drinking a bunch of water and 100% fruit juices today. Your body will be using a lot of extra fluids right now for the repair
I am also feeling really tired is this normal too?
Hi Dianne
I know how you feel as I was there a few weeks back. You will get pains from time to time and it's not a lot to worry about as tour body is healing inside.
Just remember not to pick up anything heavier than a kettle for atleast 6 weeks.
My 6 weeks are up this Thursday and I still get pains, coffee and I are not good friends but you learn through trial and error.
Good luck,I hope you feel better soon
Yes. I still get tired after being up for 10-12 hours at 3 weeks post op. Healing is alot of work. I found sitting around too much made it worse so I walked around for 10 mins at least once every 2 hours to wake myself up and stretch out as sitting wasnt overly comfortable for me
