Abit worried! One for the ladies..

hi, my anxiety is playing with me at the minute. so i was on the combined pill for around 14 years...no issues, was always fine on it....but about a year ago the pill started to make my breast really sore on one side and i started spotting in between periods (not normal for me) so i came off it...i had my son 4 years ago and just turned 30 so thought maybe my body was changing and the pill was no longer for me. i came off it late last year, breast pain went as well as the spotting! great! my period seemed to be a normal 25 day cycle...startes having more period pains (normal i figured) and also i could tell when i was ovulating!! but anyways all been fine but the last 2-3 months ive been losing brown discharge for about 4 days leading up to my period ( in the past was normal for like a day before) also my period cycle has now gone from 25 to like 18-19!!! but thats if i go from when the spotting starts and the last day of my last period. thing is the pill masked all sorts for me, period pains, ovulation, spots so im not used to ovulation or period pains really. my mind is worrying!! anyone else have this? it normal? ive become to sensitive to food as well...i have IBS so ive always been abit sensitive with it but when its my ovulation oh my god my stomach swells, feels heavy and pressure! i dunno if thats IBS or ovulation. i have an app so roughly know my ovulation. i also lose so much more clear discharge after period. im not pregnant and my next smear is due august! im freaking right out.

I’m not on the pill but I’m aged 32 and have found lately my period seems to start with a day or two of brownish red spotting before it comes on. Last month i was 6 days late for it too, then it came and lasted a day longer than normal. I had about two weeks or cramp and stomach discomfort until it was finally my period so i had no clue when it was really going to come on. I don’t know if it’s an age thing or a stress thing but i finally managed to get my smear done (i have vaginismus so was a long drawn out process) and results were fine.

I don’t know if this helps or not but i would check with your gp if worried, always best to ask then to dwell on it.

thanks, yeah i will do. i feel worse for coming off the pill! think my body was so used to it. i feel my IBS has got worse, anxiety, periods, skin!! i wish i could go back on it but i know the sore breast etc tells me it was time to come off. i think ill speak with my gp and see my options. maybe this is how my periods naturally are and cos i was on the pill for long it masked it all. thanks for your reply
