Pain is starting to get me down now. Been having on going right sides pelvic pain for nearly a year now, which is impacting my life more every month. I am now taking pain relief during lectures and the pain was starting to effect me on placement ( i am a student nurse). I just want to know what is causing my pain, even if there isn't a treatment. Been trying to study for an exam next week but keep having to stop because of the pain. Docs don't seem to know what it is, gyni doesn't think it is gyni (even without asking question) and I feel like I am getting no where and keep going round in circles.
Not so much looking for advice, just need to let it all out
Hi cabbage12 have you had a internal virgina scan because thats what i am having. And i went to my dosc and that what i had and they found a 11cm cyst on my left ovarie hope this helps x
I had a internal vaginal scan back in February which only showed a 16mm folicol on my right ovary, but the scan was 3 days before I started my period. When I went to gyni in June she said that she didn't need to do another one because that one was clear.
I have seen a few doctors at my GP practice and all have been good. The one that I saw the most( and trusted the most) has left the practice so I have been seeing one of the other doctors who has been really helpful and also want to get answers. When I told him about gyni he was like, lets look at all the other possible options and then go back to gyni and said " looks like we are going to have to persuade gyni to do the lap". I am currently on the pill which I am taking 3 strips back to back to see if it helps, he is contacting gyni as the report hadent come through yet, and is getting in touch with gastro who did my appendics surgery 4 years ago for their imput and advice. This was back in June.
Hopefully I will get answers soon. I am going back at the end of the month.
I am growing through something similar. They finally did a laparoscopy on august 12 and found cysts in my Fallopian tubes and a strand pulling my tube and ovary down and stage 2 endometriosis. However a couple days ago I've had my usual cyst pain return. I'm 24 and started getting recurring hemmorhagic cysts every month since November 2013. I can't take birth control due to history of blood clots and I have a clotting disorder too. I feel your frustrations. I hate going to the dr and them saying nothing is wrong, it drives you insane, not to mention all the constant pain and unable to work from it. I told them I want my ovaries out cuz I'm sick of being in pain. My advice is ask for a laparoscopy they are pretty safe and usually not too bad of recovery. My recovery was literally two maybe three days, but at least they can see what's going on and usually can fix it right then and there. They will call it a diagnostic laparoscopy.
