guys.. im really anxious right now about this, it consumes my mind all the time, i cant go out and have fun.. im 20 years old and i have had my first heart issues since 11 years old when i had rapid heartbeat without a reason for a few minutes every day. I was crying and scared.. after EKG and ultrasound my doctor said its probably anxiety. at 17, the issue started again. I have had blood tests, EKGs, holter monitor twice and ultrasound. I missed the thingy where you excercise and they measure your heart during it. Im now very mad at myself for not going to that "procedure". Anyway im feeling really sick now. I have fast heartbeat all the time (90 when relaxing, so it gets up to 150 doing stuff easily). My blood pressure is low, always around sys90/60dia. i have pins and needles around my chest, back, usually left side. I have terrible chest pain when stretching/moving.. feels like i got punched in the chest. my hands and feet are extremely cold. I have bowel issues, my belly is kind of bloated, i am unable to excercise, get very winded up in a few minutes (i never excercised though). For the third day today, i have shortness of breath, im hungry for air, i need to sigh all the time. Im dizzy sometimes, i get cold sweat.. im 175cm and around 59-60kilos. Im very afraid now. My relatives dont take me seriously, my doctor doesnt know what to do anymore, ive been to the ER many times and doctors were not paying any attention to me. Any. Measured my heartbeat and pulse, told me its a little rapid and that im young and anxious. I dont know what to do anymore. any tips? Thank you
sorry you are going through this. I know how scary it can feel. but keep in mind you have been tested several times. If there was anything unusual on the EKG your doctor would have noticed it. They do this every single day and know how they should look. It sounds like severe anxiety symptoms. I have had all those many times. Anxiety symptoms cannot hurt you.
The key is learning how to manage it. It’s not the symptoms that are the problem it’s the unmanaged anxiety that causes the symptoms. There are several things you can do.
One of the main keys in managing this is knowing how to breathe properly. Go to YouTube and search for a short meditation called don’t panic. A guided visualization.
Another really good one is simply called don’t panic. She guides you through it so that you can get control over panic and anxiety.
Agreat one for sleep is called Its OK. very calming!!
there are many more great meditations for anxiety, sleep, panic, breathing, etc. i do them every day .
visiting a counselor helps too!
symptoms get worse when u panic over this. so focus on your breath, meditate, relax your mind,
your ok.
At your age it’s 99.999% certain not to be heart related, specially as you’ve had all the tests.
Your blood pressure sounds a bit low - that can cause shortness of breath and dizziness. Is it really 90/60?
