Hi guys
I have a really bad stomach lately as in always feel bloated and belching which causes some pain and discomfort but I also keep getting pain in my upper left chest close to my collarbone and arm pit.
Has anyone else had this with anxiety or is this something else??
I've had blood work and 2 ecg's done this year and all were fine?
Been there experienced that as well. Anexity for me has shown a lot of different symtoms over the years, but yes, it even gave me stomach ulcers at the age of 12. I know how frustrating it be going to the doctor and having him run all this test and the end say that it's all in your head. Unbelivable huh? just how stress caused by anxiety can do to our bodies. I'm done yoga and meditation and sometimes it helps. When having a panic attack the only thing that helps is xanax
Do you get the pains in the left hand side if your chest with this aswell. It's the pain that's worries me the most
I experienced bloating and stomach discomfort in times of high anxiety. What I discovered was that these feelings were always there, but I was more aware of them during times of high anxiety. A change in diet eliminated this problem for me, as it ultimately turned out to be mild lactose intolerance.
As for the upper left chest pain - pay attention to your posture. Anxiety can cause us to tense our muscles, you might find your shoulders are tensed very frequently. This muscle fatigue from contant tension could lead to pain like you are experiencing. Just some food for thought and a potential possible cause. If this sounds like it might be possible, try some progressive muscle relaxation.
It could be down to acid reflux which can be brought on by stress and anxiety. I was having the same symptoms and my doctor gave me medication for it and it seems to help - might be worth looking into if you haven't already.

hi shane, ive got the chest pain there too, mines like an on and off pressure like a mild cramp, is yours like that, its probably muscle tension ive been suffering with it for months now i was scared i had bone cancer, i had the digestive thing but that went away when the brain tumour thing came on, ive had cancer after cancer and loads of other physical symptoms, anyone else here that have had these too

Sorry for the slow reply.. yes mine felt just like that and has lately been starting in the center of my chest and radiating out over my left side which caused me massive anxiety so had to get checked out ..
After bloods and heart trace I was told they were fine and I was suffering from gastritis and esophageal cramps due to my meds reducing my appetite but my stomach still producing the same amount of acid..
I'm now on omeprazol for 4 days and things are starting to calm down 😉
