I’m not getting on with Sertraline anti depressants after only taking them for a week. can i just stop?
how much are you taking?
id slowly stop taking it. stopping cold turkey can cause withdrawals which can cause dizzyness, neaseau, chills anxiety or depression and it can all come on quickly.
you best bet especially if youre on a heavy dose is to slowly lower your dose over time until its down to basically nothing. if youre on a small dose and they are in caplets then start taking it every other day for a week then every three days for a week and so on until its so low that your body has started to get its natural seratonin levels up.
im not a doctor tho so id ask your GP first before you do this.
i would no advise that at all i stopped taking mine cold turkey i was on them for just over a week and the withdrawal symptoms i had was unbelievable i was hot cold dizzy moody sweating loads i was sick kept having too run too the toilet as it was coming from both ends(sorry too sound rude)and lets just say my anxiety and depression went through the roof i would speak too your G.P and tell them maybe they can try you on something else hope you get better soon xx
