Now i get like flash images when i look at something bright or when i read at night on phone or book. Also get ghosting images especially at night day time if i try hard il see it too.. halos starburst on street lamps. Kind of eye discomfort in eyes. Been to eye doctor says my eyes are ok!! What could it be people please tell me. Any kind of advce ot opinion will do thanks.

Hey Laura.  i have almost identical problems.  I have also started to have light trails when i look at rear brake lights etc.  My problems started about 15 years ago when i had retina tears that were sealed but now i think i have more floaters in my right eye.  I have an eye examination booked at the end of June so i will let you know how it goes.  In your instance i would book an immediate appointment at the opticians and explain the issues.  They will  examine your eyes and refer you if they suspect a problem.  Good luck :-)

Thanks for your reply already been to opticians he checked my eyes he said evrythings fine he prescribed me with glasses and also said that because my right eye is weaker my brain uses the left one more. Well thats whathe said

Honestly in my opinon your symptoms are not "the norm" .... or at least i think not, unless like me you have had previous issues.  I would go to another opticians but dont tell them you already been examined (its worth the small examination fee). At least then if they both say its ok then at least you know.  When i went to the opticians they had a look and referred me to be on the safe side.

Well do you think maybe this could be due to anxiety as i suffer from panic attacks amd anxiety for many years?

I have read somewhere that anxiety can cause these types of problems.  I must admit i have been under extreme stress over the last 12 months and i guess that doesnt help.  Another thing that i read was that high blood pressure doesnt help so maybe that could be investigated?

Yeah you are rite il book an appoitment with gp. What causes retinal tears to get sealed? Thanks for your reply

Retina tears are small rips in the retina.  Basically to correct the problem they use a laser to "melt" the retina which then seals (or fills in) the rips.  i think about 50% of people who have this problem go on to develope a detatched retina which is mega serious if not dealt with urgently.  So im always concious of the symptoms of a detached retina (contiual flashing lights, shadow or cobweb across your vision).

Exactly what kind of an "eye doctor" did you see? I'd go to someone else. Pronto.

Specsavers

I mean, did you see an ophthalmologist? That's who I would start with. Hopefully one who has connections with a retinal specialist.

Yea they took photo of the back of my eyes other tests said it was ok.
