Seems like that could be it but I haven't really been seeing the static
That they explain, or the migraines. I also tend to worry a lot about my
Vision and get anxiety, so could that be connected? I really hope there

they told me (the doctors) to always go to a retinal doctor specialist...not an eyeglass optpmologist
Hi hon,have experianced many symptoms since mid 20s,now almost 60.. new ones again,amazeing strange things eyes can do. All is probably ok although its scarey,im freaked out myself now with new symptoms, keep us posted. Xx
Retinal specialist to rule out retinal diseases or lesions .
i went to an optimologist a few days ago and she didnt find anything, except i have an astigmatism and a freckle in one eye, im sure a retinal doctor would be good but my parents have already taken me to 2 doctors in under 2 months and i know they are going through a tough financual situation so i would hate to ask again only to go there for them to find out whats wrong and realize its visual snow and i just wasted more of their money, could this even possibly be a retinal disease or anything like that? thank you very much for your time and answers!

Phosphenes,flases etc..ive been to tbe doctors a good 7 times this year with thorough checks. I am now older,i do have posterior vitreous detachments both eyes,ive had an OCT test and very good checks of my retnas,im thinking its still symptoms from that,when i was younger,had different symptoms of visual snow,they came and went. Xx
you had visual snow? the symptons went away for you? I thought once you had them they were there forever
I think there are degrees people experiance it as well as different types. I never had the 24/7 static type,i used to look down,say at carpet and it would look all grainey etc.
My opinion as an Ophthalmologist, there is no retinal lesions
I suppose thats good but what else could it be? The only thing I can think of is visual snow.
I'm thankful that I dont experience the static or at least to that extent but the halos and starbursts and entoptic phenomenon and tinnitus and afterimages are all visual snow symptoms so it seems like thats what it is, so hopefully it will go away or atleast become less noticeable. Oh yes,i think of how my eyes are just like you. I jave had all your stmptoms,ive read if you are near sited you are more apt to experiance visual disturbances because of the shape and length of your eye. All i do is read read ttead. Lol. Maddening part is eye doctors usually dont think much of such disturbances. I get anxiety from it,so am on an anxiety med.
Dry eye can also caus some of the things you mentioned. Have them check your lid margins next time for clogged glands,im not talking tear ducts,they are the glands that supply the oil portion of your tear film. Ask specifically about posterior mgd,it might at least take care of helping some symptoms,if you do have an issue.
thank you i will look into this, and i am not nearsighted i have 20/20 vison according to the docter but i do have an astigmatism that is currently being corrected, so dry eye and posterior mgd can cause stuff like what i am experiencing? so hopefuly its nothing to serious and it will go away, thank you for taking the time to talk with me.
i am pretty sure it is visual snow, and i think i know what caused it, a while ago i read an article on the internet that said if you roll your eyes back and forth it exercises them and strengthens your vision, and then i started experiencing these symptoms so i stopped and i think that is what caused it and i wish more than anything for me to go back not do that but i cant i have to live it and it hurts knowing that you ruined your life just by doing something that you read on the internet
Actually its called posterior blepharitis /mgd,can caus blurry vision,halos Starburst etc.
I hope you get relief from your symptoms,i know how scarey it can be. Xx
I hope you get relief as well, it is very scary, and depression and anxiety are very real, but we just have to think about what really matters in life and all will be okay
Is there certain lighting situations your symptoms are worse,white light makes mine worse. Used to be dark. Im talking light right before dark,white lights etc.
