Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum, hoping i can find some answers or some help...i've become desperate here! I am a 25 year old male, 2 years ago, i had my first panic attack, just out of the blue. Ever since that episode, i now have them several times a day, every day since. I have new symptoms everyday, and previous symptoms get worse. I have had countless ECGs, countless ER visits. Countless bloodwork and other tests done. Cardiologist twice, and no concern from any test. Yet i feel so unwell and sick all the time, im in pain all the time! Its destroying my life, especially now that i have a 2 month old baby! Chest pain and headaches that done go away EVER. Left arm always hurting, always feeling shaky and weak and so tired. Nauseated all the time, and like i said, daily panic attacks that STILL send me to the hospital...I dont know what to do!!
First off why havent you spoken to the go on getting some help with all this? I feel so bad it hard with a newborn, some of this is definetly exhaustion amd some post partum and the original anxiety. You might need some medication if you are not breastfeeding. Just to get a handle on everything and maybe some help twice a week to get some uninterrupted sleep. The baby will get a tad easier at three to four months.
you cant really tell right now whats what because newborns can make you so sleep deprived you would feel like poo. Its so temporary though just doesnt feel like it. My first was colic i had to enroll help and an electronic swing, i bless the swing for anyone with a colic baby. Anyway do you have support and help at home?
the hospital is wasting your time or giving you a little break but you know whats going on by now. Best thing is to speak to the gp now. This is way too hard to wing it on your own.
feel better. Hang in there.
It's a male Lisa
seems like panic disorder, i would suggest consulting a professional as they will refer you to a psychologist and put you on medication for relief.
Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft can help with the panic attacks or if its really bad you can be put on Xanax.
Psychostein.
I would definitely advise you to go seek help because anxiety is very hard to deal with on your own. Praying for you and congrats
I have switched through 3 different gp's, trying to find help. Ive been on 6 different meds (cant remember names of all) and nothing has helped. Been thinking of trying counselling or something along those lines, i just have a hard time believing that it actually works. This runs in my family, my mother and both sisters suffer from anxiety, but nowhere near as severe as mine. Its destroying my life, like i said, and its starting to have an impact on my relationship with my fiance and child...i het the same answers from every doctor or nurse i talk to, i just cant accept the anxiety and i cant deal with the ever changing symptoms!
