Hello! Had an catarat removal surgery 3 days ago and i think it all went well, as it my doctor. But i have the impression that my vision accuty was better at the 2nd day after, than now!... The near sigth is focused and clear but the medium and long sight i think it got less clear that at first. Anyone experienced something like this?
Hi there , it sounds if you had monovision done . One eye set for near and the other set for mid and distance. I had it done about 6 weeks ago and yes mid and distance are not quite as crisp as when we were young. You're brain will adjust in time , usually from 3 weeks to 3 months. In the meantime, go to youtube and search monovision. look for a video by an Austrailian doctor demonstrating exercises to make your new monovision eyes work better together. It has helped me .
I tried to give an aswer but it is being evaluated because I mentioned a website that has video exercises for monovision patients. If it doesnt clear by the moderators, but I think it should, let me know and we'll figure another way . In the meantime , it takes a while for the eyes to get used to a very new operating system . I had monvision done about 6 weeks ago and yes mid and distance is not as crisp as it was when we were young . But it gets better . Hang in there.
Thank you for your help! I am 38 years old and have never had a good vision! Actually I had bough eyes operated when I was around 3 years old... :-) I have talked with other people with the same experience after surgery and they told me that at the first and second day the vision was very sharp, but had an regression after. Told me that it will adjust with time! Going to wait and see... Thanks again!
