Circumcised at birth - Is this balanitis/thrush/yeast?

Went to doctor who prescribed steroid cream for jock itch. With no success went back and tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia. It’s been about 2-3 months of this wrinkled/irritated/sore penis issue. After sex or masturbation immediately the penis shrinks to the smallest I’ve ever seen and red patches appear. I applied steroid cream, monistat 3 cream, lotrimin ultra, and terrasil balantis cream. I took 1-2 weeks of each medication but no success.

This issue is currently causing ED and my penis feels like it’s shrinking. I ordered e45 and only washing with water at the moment. I am type 1 Genital Herpes Positive but this isn’t a breakout, I only had one and this has been going on for 2-3 months. Does anyone have any insights?

I lost my job and health insurance, so I am trying to save and apply for state insurance but it’s taking awhile. I appreciate any help.!

Rob, if you potentially had jock itch scenario then that can only be addressed by good personal hygiene, shower once a day if you can to start your day, then clean underwear daily, that kind of stuff. If you prefer top wear something like a sports short around the house, then again, change daily.
Overall, you have got into a situation that has led from one thing to another.
So, the washing with water is the good part of what you are doing - DO NOT apply anything else. What the skin of your penis needs desperately is to recover to the natural state it was when you were born, as much as possible. You do not achieve this by constantly applying different things to it.
In terms of cleaning your penis, here is one of my little guides:
What to do - never use any form of soap on the head of the penis, when you shower, draw the foreskin forward (presuming you are not circumcised, of course) to protect the head of your penis, rinse everything off when you finish showering, then expose the head of your penis and rub with fingers and water only - dry your penis first, carefully pat dry with a towel and make sure the head and foreskin of your penis are completely dry!
.
In terms of for sex and masturbation what you really need to learn about is how to be skin friendly, or behave skin kindly towards the skin on the head and main shaft of your penis. Certainly, excluding soap and all forms of body wash, such as shower gel from your penis is a good starting point. If you can, take a break from sex and masturbation. learn about how to stimulate your penis without wanting to masturbate or make yourself ejaculate.
Gentle massage type movements are good to learn about and practice regularly. I would give your penile skin somewhere between 4 and 5 months to begin to recover its natural state - the entire process can easy take 6 to 7 months before you notice any real changes. However, just to reiterate, this is dependant on you excluding anything that is chemical based from getting onto your penile skin.
Leave it as long as possible, but what you can do is to introduce either liquid coconut oil or shea butter to the times when you are stimulating your penis with the massage type movements. What your penis will start to regain is the natural responses to stimulation that are required for sex and pleasurable masturbation. Again, this is not a process that will happen overnight, anything that has to do with positive change for the penis and genital takes time and persistence to pay discernable dividends - this takes months of having all of ‘the good stuff’ in place everyday …
