DAMAGED GLANS SKIN PICS INCLUDED

Hi guys (and gals please chime in if husband etc had same and how you treated)... Had unprotected sex while back , think caused some skin trauma , and I used harsh products to wash it around that time too, so really not sure on exact cause entire glans is very dry and looks bad , when moistured looks better, however the issue remains and is killing my confidence . negative for sti, tried a fungal cream and steroid cream and minor improvements . i dont know if this is yeast, bacteria , none of the above . the pics dont do it justice really , much crinkled and shiny (different to the normal wrinkles and creases) .l was with just water as seen on all the forums and dry carefully. but then letting it totally dry out, looks awful. coconut oil made it worse for some reason not sure if that a sign of something . had sticky under foreskin at time not sure why , reading can be the skin trauma from chemicals and the skin cells repairing but as enclosed etc ends up sticking so please has anyone had this level ,and can tell me how you treated it ? (or the level of the other gentleman's case I put link to at bottom) please someone tell me you had the same as me and the below gentleman and managed to fix it , been a long while now and it is very stressful! thank you https://patient.info/forums/discuss/wrinkly-and-dry-skin-on-penis-glans-662610?page=0#3658972

has anyone noticed creams made worse? or steroids?

How long ago was the unprotected sex .... ? I will post one of my guide's below to give you some insight on what could be happening for you and what to do about it: . Penile Hygiene, Red Spots, Irritation & What to do . On the head / glans of the penis the most common cause of red spots is something that is causing irritation to the very sensitive skin. For a sexually active male who does NOT use protection the most common cause of irritation is yeast / fungal infection derived from penetrative vaginal sex. It is also possible to develop a fungal infection without sex, however this is linked to poor hygiene practices and is avoided through regular showering, change of underclothes daily, and for someone who is sportingly active or does gym workouts where sweat is a regular occurrence, then again, sports clothing needs to be changed on a daily basis for freshly washed ones. After this, irritation can become an accumulative issue, and almost anything in contact with the skin of the glans / head of the penis on a regular basis can cause this. Here, the most common irritant is soap, shower gel, and for someone using condoms regularly, these can also become an irritant. Most often the problem becomes evident when someone changes soap, shower gel, switches to a different brand or type of condom, or uses a different lube for sex or masturbation on the penis. However, sometimes nothing in particular seems to have triggered the problem, in these instances you quite literally have to exclude everything from contacting the glans / head of the penis - and this includes all the things I have already mentioned, particularly soap and all forms of body wash. Always use water only to wash the glans / head of the penis - during a shower, do not apply anything to the penis, wash everywhere else on the body first and fully rinse any cleansers from the body. Spend sometime using the running water to fully rinse the entire groin area, and in particular, the glans / head area of the penis. After washing or showering make sure the skin on the entire penis is 100% dry by using a clean dry towel that only you use. Once you have put the good practices in place, you may not notice any difference for 5 or more months, depending on how long the source of irritation has been experienced by the skin on the glans / head - for many males, the problem is down to an accumulative effect, and even when the sources of irritation are removed, symptoms of irritation such as lumps, bumps and spots can take an extended period of months to completely fade away, of which, 6, 7 or even 8 months is not unusual.

about 6 . thing is it looks so bad dry and coconut makes it worse for some reason . i dont know if meant to put forskin back or let it dry stay dry ,for months, and heal in dry state

days, weeks or months .... ? I think you are explaining whether to keep the head of your penis exposed all the time by having the foreskin fully retracted all the time to see if this helps the healing process - is this what you mean? If so, yes I would recommend you try it for 3 or 4 months to see what happens. If the coconut oil is acting as an irritant it suggests there is either an infection present, or that irritation has existed for sometime - perhaps along the lines of the accumulative effect I describe or a combination of various factors.

sorry 6 months . seems like irritation. wondering if the proper penile skin oils are worth a go

Hello. Have you already resolve it? I have a similar trouble.

no I have not . how did yours start?

Hey john, I have the same thing as you. I have had it for several years now. I had poor hygiene when I was younger and I would often get redness / inflammation down there. I always thought that the skin was scarred because of the repeated damage. I have read that chronic inflammation like this is actually a cause of penile cancer so I wash my penis with soap and water once a day now to try and prevent any redness at all. I'm not sure if the soap drying out the skin is anything to do with it or not.

Have you always had good hygiene washing your penis everyday? Do you ever remember getting redness / inflammation?

Also, have you been with any sexual partners since? What was their reaction to it?

I doubt it is reversible, but if you find anything that works let me know.

im having the same problem. I got a full std panel and nothing popped up. They even checked for a UTI still nothing. I just want this fixed. I was getting a clear-watery discharge and pain on my right testitcal only. image

I am having the same problem and if anyone has answers please let me know. image

mine started with unprotected sex with a male. However, there was no intercourse. Mostly just oral that night. its been about 4 months.

Is hiv excluded?

Are you negative on hiv? I have The same thing but on the scrotum. Doing a hiv test tomorrow... And i am afraid somehow although i do not have any other symptoms for that.. image

i got the same thing and this began after i used steroid on the glans so i have overused it and now my glans is more sensetive to infection since the steroid make the skin thinner. also got ordination to clean penis every day with warm water.

Also oli makes it woorse. pretty strange
have no issue as itching or anything

really weird

I have exactly this condition. i was treated for a fungal infection using clotrimazole and hydrocortisone cream but it didnt seem to have much effect. i probably used it too much and since stopping have the exavt same issue with my glans.

i dont know whether its over use of hydrocortisone (used 1-2 weeks at a time for about 3 months with short breaks in between) or if this is something else.

help!

Hey.

Did you deal with anxiety before ?

If it is chronic then you might have the same problem as I did, and if it is the same problem, you are cured in 2 weeks ! It seems like more men have tried this as because I read more men complaining in some forum.

You should not take any medicine or creams without knowing if there is an infection and if it is fungal or bacteria. Don't play around with that.

In my case I found out that there was no infection at all and doctors had no clue. It took 2 months before I read about psychosomatic stuff and I dealt with it before and the fix was to simply relax in the area where I had the problem.

This means that if you are afraid that your hand will get sick, you can start getting real symptoms in your hand, or if you are afraid of heart failure you might experience some sleeping feeling in your arms. This is because your brain is tightening some small muscles inside and it squeezes your nerves. So you have to focus on relaxing in this area and it should dissappear. So, this is a general thing, and so if you are afraid of catching an std or you caught some fungal infection you might get scared for your penis and create some tension down there.

So, I thought that this could be the problem with my penis so I tries relaxing in the area and i immediately felt relaxation in some muscle in the prostate area. So I thought WTF ?!?! Pretty sure that it is the figure8 muscle that will tighten around your anus and penis. It is that muscle that basically cut the feaces and also can hold back pee if you want to stop peeing. If your brain is keeping tension in this muscle it will somehow cause your foreskin glands to not work. I don't know if it is because it is restricting the blood to the glands or what it is, but it helped right away and after 2 weeks almost all the scarring and weird skin was gone !

To make sure you are relaxing down there, you can try gently activating the muscle that push out the feaces that will make that other muscle relax and you should be able to feel it. If you feel something relaxing down there you should remind yourself every 20 min or so to relax, because your brain will immediately start the tensioning down there again. Retarded brain.

All those nights waking up with super itchy penis. It was horrible !

When you convince your brain to not create tension down there, then it will also not happen during sleeping anymore :)

I am not a doctor.

I feel that you skin dryness is due to the disturbance of your normal foreskin bacterial flora, which is why coconut oil was problematic, as it was a food source for bacteria or yeast. Steroid creams help with inflammation (swelling) but they thin the skin and make that give you penis that paper-like look so I don't think that was helpful overall. I would refrain from cleaning your penis with anything but water and at most once per day. Does your smegma production seem comparable to your pretreatment levels? How long since your last treatment with steroids/antifungal creams? Are you able to retract your foreskin down your shaft more and show me that part of your foreskin as well (not sure if that is possible as your foreskin is a little tighter in appearance)?
