Dizziness

Does anyone experience extreme dizziness like when you get of a merry go round ....from just sitting down doing nothing ...i don't even feel anxiety at the time just feels like the room is spinning slow

. Do you suffer from anxiety  normally ?

it's common with anxiety disorder. The spinning room sensation is called a vertigo. It will go away on its own even though I know it can feel weird I have had it. Sometimes the vertigo is caused by an inner ear issue,  but a lot of the times it's from anxiety. Just do some slow deep breathing  and it will eventually go away

Also while you're having this, keep your head still. Moving it around can aggravate it

I just recently experienced anxiety after a health scare in April . ..the hardest part is separating the two health /anxiety 😊thank you for your advice much appreciated

Yes. I get this frequently and it drives me crazy. I actually just had an episode where standing in line for food I got light headed and blurred tunnel vision. Felt like I was going to pass out. I've had all kinds of tests and it all points to anxiety. Nothing bad has every happened other than the sensations. Which honestly is enough. Wish I could get them to stop but no luck so far but no real harm either

Good to know I'm not alone .... does this get better ?

Actually  if you are able to learn how to manage health anxiety or general anxiety it can completely go away. I haven't had vertigo in over 15 years.

what really helps my anxiety over all the years has been a few different things. The first thing I did was speak with a counselor who specializes in anxiety because they can help you get to the root of why you're anxious in the first place . And it really helps to speak with someone else in person.

other thing that I really like doing a couple times a day is listening to guided meditation's for anxiety found on YouTube. They completely calm me down and a lot of them teach you how to separate negative or anxious thoughts from yourself. A couple I like are called clearing subconscious negativity and  detachment from overthinking. There are many to choose from. I think this could really help you.

remember, when you worry about your health over and over, you create an over anxious brain .   All anxiety begins in the brain and a lot of energy is created. All this energy has to go somewhere so it comes out as symptoms such as the vertigo and hundreds of others.

I came to the point in my life where I didn't want to live that way anymore so I need to take charge of my mind. Do I want positive or negative thoughts? We are in control.

Worrying and what if thinking  are a complete waste of time!

please don't do what I did which was waste 20 years of my life with this type of thinking. And nothing bad ever happened! I could've been enjoying my life!

we must live in the present, because the past or just memories in the future  does not exist yet. If we spend today worrying about the future we have lost today and will never get it back. I have decided that I'm not going to worry about things anymore and if something happens in the future well I will deal with it at that time. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy my life!

if you can, get a book called mindfulness it teaches you all of this and helps us to gain peace of mind and be happy! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Thank you so much for this....really means alot I am 29 and this is my first bout with anxiety 😊it helps to talk to people who have been though it

Yes, I suffered pretty badly from dizziness for the best part of two years. It was from bouts of labrythitis and other inner ear issues. It was then all flared up by stress and anxiety.

Was your health scare a serious one?

Possible tia but not sure still investigating...im only 29 .. I found out I have a developmental venous anomaly and a 3mm pinal cyst in my brain 😣and before April 26th I was 100 percent healthy 😘

Sorry to hear that. Hope it doesn't cause you any more bother.

I understand your anxiety though! Fingers crossed for you. Keep us updated on your progress

I will 😊and thank you so much !!

Ye I get it a lot then I panic worse,it's horrible living with anxiety it's a vicious circle, wish it would just go away

 You are so welcome Amanda.

Sometimes we have to put ourselves first in order to regain our peace of mind and health.
